MEGARON PROFFESIONAL 20kg
Megaron Professional is used for making internal gypsum plasters as a base for paint coatings and wallpapers. It is also used to fill cavities and cracks in mineral plasters.
The setting time, i.e. the shelf life from the moment of mixing with water, depends on the ambient temperature and the amount of water used to make the mortar. At a temperature of +20°C and with a water to binder ratio of 1:2, the setting time is about 1.5 hours. A lower temperature and a larger amount of mixing water extend the time, while a higher temperature and a smaller amount of water shorten the setting time. At temperatures below 5°C, the binding reaction almost completely ceases.
Drying time
Drying time The drying time of the cured product depends on the layer thickness, ambient temperature and ventilation conditions. A layer of 1 mm thick in ventilated rooms at +20°C dries within 2-3 hours.
Layer thickness
The combination of both binders allows the application of layers of completely arbitrary thickness. It is also possible to apply layers thinner than 1 mm without the risk of losing the internal cohesion of the plaster, which can occur in gypsum plasters, when the water evaporates before the gypsum setting reaction is completed.
